Herman Gordon of Houston, TX reported the following:
At 250' above the end of the runway my prop flew off. I did a 150
degree turn and landed back on the runway downwind. Even had to put
some spoiler on to get down. The prop had been installed and torqued to
spec about a month before. All four prop bolts had sheared off and
shown signs of being overstressed. The prop had apparently swollen from
high humidity and overstressed the bolts. Thank goodness I was in a
Moni.
